The Irregulars......

The Irregulars......

This post discusses some plants that I had in some pots, that I didn't expect to bloom this great. Last winters, my mother, while drying some spices and condiments for some pickle, washed those and threw the water in some of the pots. The spices included coriander (dhania), mustard (sarson) and fennel (saunf) seeds. within days, the seeds germinated, and in about a month and a half, all the plants started flowering. The unusually good looking flowers, amazed me, as I didn't expect these plants to flower such good.

One flower bunch from a mustard plant in one of my pots.
A flower of the Miniature Orange (Citris Mitis Calamondin). This plant, also blooms profusely, with white flower buds all around.

After this, I learnt that though, we plant flowers to beautify our homes and the surroundings, these irregular plants, may actually look beautiful, and these so have the capacity to beautify your surroundings.

  1. Love the photos today. I have some of the same plants here on the shores of Lake Michigan so it is nice to see them in other gardens. Enjoyed my visit today. Jack

    1. Thanks, Jack. I'm happy to hear that even in different parts of the world, we have almost the same flora.
