QUOTE OF THE MONTH :
Gardens are not made by singing "Oh, how beautiful," and sitting in the shade. - Rudyard Kipling
Worth a thousand words
They say, a picture is worth a thousand words! So, how
about putting up a beautiful picture for a blogpost? These pictures were, as
usual, captured in my terrace garden. Somehow, I am still a bit confused over the
name of the plant, since, as far as I knew what was sown was a turmeric tuber, but what bloomed didn't appear to be a turmeric bloom. Infact, I was pointed in
the right direction by a friend on the IndiBlogger forum. What he pointed out seems
to be somewhat a correct reference to this plant, going by the flower that
bloomed on it, and after ruling out the possibility that the bloom didn't look
like turmeric bloom at all.
Anyhow, whatever it
is, it's beautiful, it's red, and it is a visual treat for my eyes, and yes, my
camera as well. So, I thought, I'd share it with you guys too. And, just in
case you were wondering, I believe this bloom to be of an arrowroot plant.
