Weekly updates - September 26, 2017

The monsoon season that went by just a while back, had some of the loveliest tuberose blooms I have had in all these years. The very first blooms were amongst the best ones, I have posted here. This was primarily because the plants I was getting these blooms from had become too old and hence, the flower quality reduced sharply, so much so that there were seasons when I could only get just one stick blooming over the entire season, after a long wait of a year. This was frustrating, a lot so.

Then last year, brought in, what were supposed to be bulbs of double variety of tuberoses, which supposedly had multiple layers of petals, instead of the usual single layer of six petals. As it has been quite late, the plants were not really ready for the blooming season in the monsoons last year. The plants finally bloomed this year, however, to my disappointment, none of those came out to be that of double variety. However, the blooms turned out great, and here are the results for you to enjoy.
